  1. IF THE OBA NOW SAID HE DIDN’T MEAN OR SAID THE ALLEGATION LET US FORGIVE AND GO ON. LET THE MEDIA MANAGE NIGERIAN TALKINKS

  2. Your comment..oba u hav given d igbo d mind 2 vote 4 d man jimi if a child is igbo and yoruba wat will he do jimi has won simple come my house con carry me naaa

  3. I am an ardent respecter of the Monarchy. It is inherent in me. Assuming that this Oba was addressing Nd’Igbo commoners, well, he would have been perceived as addressing his subjects and maybe excused but not when he was addressing the cream of the Igbo nation based in Lagos. Those threats coming from any other individual, but the Oba, no matter how well placed, would have earned that individual the mark of a buffoon. The fact as we stand now is that the Oba does not like Mr. Ambode. If he liked Mr. Ambode, there was no way he would have campaigned for him in the manner that he did in the presence of the who is who of Nd’Igbo in Lagos. The Oba has comfortably sealed the Nd’Igbo votes for Mr. Ambode. Let us all die than live in a shed of insults. This will tell Oba that we are not “a double edged knife.” You can take this to the bank that this is a carefully drawn out and executed plan by the Oba to derail the hopes of Mr. Ambode becoming the next Lagos State governor. Mr. Ambode, run from the Oba-O. He does not like you at all. Nd’Igbo do you want to live in shame or die in honour? The line is drawn by the Oba. Who do you trust? The LORD GOD or the mortal man? You decide.

  4. I hereby use this medium to implore all Igbo sons and daughters of 18years and above living Lagos state to come out on Saturday 11th of April,2015 to vote JK. Oba has no power over us and can do nothing. JK we know. JK we trust.

    1. can igbo do what they are doing in Lagos now in northern state, i bet it, if emir made the same statement igbo cannot wait till the next day. so they should give our oba respect, how many commissioner of Yoruba you have in abia imo delter.

      1. I must say like I said before, that this publication is ethnically biased in choosing what to publish on the cable.Oba’s statement is a threat which is a serious offence in the Nigeian law.Since no one is above the law in Nigeria, including the Oba of Lagos, therefore I think the Ibo community in Lagos should file court charges against the Oba of Lagos for that statement to the supreme court

  5. It is so hard for me to understand as a younger Nigerian why some very elderly statesmen such as the Oba of Lagos would make such a threat against any tribe of people living in Lagos This is an anti-one Nigeria statement, and it is a wake up call for all the Ibo ethnic tribes living in all parts of Nigeria to start thinking seriously about taking all their investments and developments down to the south east instead of developing someone else’s tribe and afterwards get killed and loose everything. All your customers from Lagos, different parts of Nigeria and beyond can still come to buy your goods and services in the South East. The white south africans have been doing the sane successfully over the years. The Jews in Germany had returned back to Israel, built a strong defensive army with their money and swore that never again would they suffer the holocaust like in the nazi germany.Even though the Oba said latter that he was joking, but he made his mind known to the Ibos who are the danger of loosing their lives and investments in Lagos and beyond as a result of this type of jokes by these leading elders who hate the Ibo tribe so much. Not long ago some ibos living in the north were shot to death in the north by young islamic fundmentals because they were unable to recite the koran. That would have never happened in the south east.It is better to safe and alive than to be so rich and unsafe

  6. God has saved the Oba! You guys didn’t quite get what the Oba said/meant. He meant that if Ibos refused to vote for Ambode and per chance Jimi Agabje by their votes won, he(the Oba) would jump inside the lake but God has spared the yorubas the historic embarrassment!
