Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo rode on a canoe to Otuocha, a community ravaged by flood in Anambra state.
The vice-president was accompanied by Willie Obiano, governor of the state; Ifeanyi Okowa, governor of Delta state; Chris Ngige, minister of labour; and Mustapha Maihaja, director-general of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
He pledged the commitment of government to assisting those affected by the flood.
He had earlier visited Delta.
