Moussa Marega, a Malian professional footballer who plays for Porto, on Sunday, walked off the pitch during his side’s 2-1 win against Vitoria Guimaraes, after allegedly being subjected to racist abuse from fans.
The FC Porto striker scored his side’s second goal in the 60th minute at the Estádio D. Afonso Henriques. He, however, earned a yellow card from Luis Godinho, the referee, for his celebration.
Moments later, the 28-year-old Malian international, who appeared visibly distraught, decided to walk off the pitch in protest while being allegedly subjected to racist abuse from the home crowd at Vitoria.
Porto's Moussa Marega tried to sub himself off earlier as he couldn't deal with the racist chants from Guimaraes fans. Awful 😡

In the video clips making the rounds on social media, Marega is seen pointing to the crowd and raising his middle fingers to the stands as he walks off the pitch.
This was despite attempts by his teammates and some members of the opposition to prevent him from leaving the field of play.

Still unsatisfied, the Malian forward took to his Instagram page and told the “racist” fans to “go f**k yourself'”.

“To those i***ts that go to the stadium to shout racist insults, go f*** yourselves,” his post read in English.
“I’m also grateful to the ref for not defending me and for giving me a yellow card for defending my skin colour.
“I hope I never see you on a pitch again. You’re a disgrace.”
