‘We must speak our minds’ — Nigerians kick against bill seeking to regulate social media

A bill seeking to regulate social media sparked outrage among internet users after it passed second reading at the senate on Wednesday.

The bill entitled “Protection from Internet Falsehood and Manipulation 2019” is being sponsored by Sani Musa, senator representing Niger east.

Nigerians have united to kick against the bill.  Since on Friday, the hashtag #SayNoToSocialMediaBill has remained top of the Twitter trends.
