‘We must win south-west in 2023’ — PDP moves to reconcile Makinde, Fayose

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has begun moves to bring an end to the rift between Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo, and Ayodele Fayose, former Ekiti governor.

Fayose and Makinde have been at loggerheads over the leadership of the party in the south-west zone.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Kola Ologbondiyan, PDP spokesman, said the national working committee (NWC) of the party held an extensive meeting on reconciliation efforts in the south-west.

According to Ologbondiyan, the NWC resolved to hold a meeting, which will have top party officials, members of the Bukola Saraki-led reconciliation and strategic committee, as well as Makinde and Fayose in attendance.
