Some Nigerian have taken to social media platforms to react to the decision of the federal government to lift the ban on Twitter’s operations in Nigeria.
The announcement on the lifting of the ban comes 222 days after the suspension of Twitter’s operation in Nigeria.
Taking the decision to suspend Twitter’s operations at time — on June 5 — the federal government had said the microblogging platform was allowing content that “undermine” Nigeria’s corporate existence.
However, following the reversal of the ban on Wednesday, there were mixed reactions on social media.

Buhari should just delete his account and never return back on Twitter anymore. Else whoever is managing the account will be frustrated.

The Twitter ban ruined lives and destroyed small businesses. It was needless and unproductive. The government did not achieve anything banning Twitter in Nigeria 🇳🇬. I honestly hope this never happens again.
