‘We’ll address Nigeria’s educational challenges’ — Bridge College celebrates 20th anniversary

Foluke AbdulRazaq, executive director of Bridge House College (BHC), says the institution was founded to address Nigeria’s educational challenges.

Speaking on Tuesday during the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the institution, AbdulRazaq said the institution was established to offer quality education in Nigeria and reduce the quest to seek better education overseas.

The executive director added that BHC is committed to producing graduates who are employers of labour and capable of addressing the country’s challenges.

She said the results of students from the school have earned prestigious awards and recognitions.

“In the past 20 years, the college has graduated over 3,000 A-Level students who are now employers across Nigeria,” Abdulrazaq, a former Lagos state commissioner, said.

“Our vision is to help students achieve success in life through the acquisition of knowledge, and our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential through intensive, personalised teaching methods, utilising modern resources and technology.

“The college maintains high standards through its membership in the Council of British International Schools (COBIS).”

Speaking on the development, Bolaji Ogunlende, commissioner for youth and social development, said it is important to nurture young minds to become good citizens, which the school is driving towards.

“The college, founded by my parents in 2004, has shown excellence, growth, and tenacity over the past 20 years. Despite challenges, we are proud of the results and the quality of students we have graduated from the college. In two weeks, we will celebrate the graduation of our 20th set of students,” he said.

“Many young people are restless, and this college ensures their energy is channeled into the right activities.”

The anniversary celebration also showcased the unveiling of a new college logo and other programmes.
