We’ll have a fight with the Egyptians, says Iheanacho

Kelechi Iheanacho, Manchester City and Super Eagles forward, has urged his teammates to go all out and play their hearts out to get a win in Friday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt.

Speaking with TheCable, Iheanacho said: “We’ll need to go all out, have a good game and play well.

“We are going to do well for the nation. We will do Nigeria proud.”

He admitted that the Eagles do not know much about the Pharaohs of Egypt, but said it won’t matter since they are determined to win.

“We don’t know much about the Egyptians but I can assure you that we are going to have a fight with them and will come out victorious too.”

He thanked the Nigerian Football Federation(NFF) for providing him the opportunity to graduate from the youth national teams to the Super Eagles, saying: “I am happy and grateful to God as well as the NFF for helping me transit from the junior level to the senior level of the national team.”
