Some constituents of Kaura Namoda and Birnin Magaji in Zamfara state say they have notified the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of the resolve to recall Sani Jaji, a member of the house of representatives.
The lawmaker represents the Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji federal constituency of Zamfara state.
He is the chairman of the house committee on ecological fund.
On May 17, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara suspended Jaji for alleged “anti-party activities” in the 2023 elections.

Last week, the Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji federal constituency Coalition for Sustainable Democracy, a civil society organisation (CSO), said they have mobilised constituents to recall Jaji over alleged poor representation.
A statement released on Tuesday and signed by Bello Mahmud and Mustapha Ibrahim, chairman and secretary of the coalition respectively, said the recall letter has been submitted at INEC headquarters, Abuja.
“The Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency Coalition for Sustainable Democracy has notified the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, of the resolve of the people of Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency of Zamfara State to recall Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji from the House of Representatives on account of poor representation pursuant to Section 69 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” the statement reads.
