What does Shaka Momodu want?

Tinubu Tinubu

If you have not read Shaka Momodu’s double whammy epistle of the highly respected Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinibu you just may be missing a case in point in history. Shaka in two well written epistles have punched the Asiwaju into a very tight corner, pinning him there like a prized fighter and delivering several unsavory punches with the Asiwaju looking for help.

You see for me, this is expected and this is how a run up to a major election like the 2023 should be. It should be a battle of the mind and not stomach infrastructure. It should be arguments and counter arguments on issues and not ethnicity and what will you do for us when you enter.

It behooves on the Asiwaju as a good sports man to fight his way out of the corner not by kicking Shaka’s balls but my undermining him with a fact based and logic driven counter offer. Agreed that this type of fight will only resonate in the minds of the arrogant elites who in themselves will not vote but will be very instrumental in building a stronger system if and when the Asiwaju emerges.

Shaka has taken so many positions in his two rounds. positions that stare Nigerians in the face but yet still remain elusive. He has boldly stuck out his neck to say the Kings balls have scabies. It is now for the other camp to now come out and say, ‘No the Kings balls have no scabies but what you see is a smooth and velvety instrument that will give pleasure if given the opportunity.

This is an intellectual fight. This is not Asiwaju’s fight. Really has nothing to do with the Asiwaju who must not be distracted by this. This is a fight for his media handlers. They should jump into the ring and save the Aiswaju. Get the tap of the hand like they do in American Wrestling and grab Shaka by the head, lift him up and give him a slam dunk.

I do not mean this literally o, before someone goes and waits for Shaka at Ojuelegba. I mean Asiwaju’s handlers should engage Shaka at his level and on the same platform to wrestle him down with logic and strategy. I know for a fact that Asiwaju has a very strong media team, they should by now be huddling in a war room in a bid to fashion out a befitting response that should mute Shaka and silence not only him but Nigerians who are beginning to be wakened by this his position.

The last response was tepid and almost amateurish. Not befitting of the caliber of shots fired by Shaka and I must say must have empowered Shaka in coming out with this second epistle which I must say is madder than the very first.

We expect a powerful response, we expect an invitation to a public debate on the issues raised by Shaka and we expect an empirical backed representation of a position that will push Shaka back to the corner humbling him.

Anything short of that and Shaka would have run away with a victory that would go a long way in putting a major dent on the armor of the great Asiwaju.

So while awaiting the response from Asiwaju’s team, let me give a strategy. Shaka’s strength is coming from a position of limited information and facts gleaned from media, I think the team should fall back on the superiority of their access to better information to dig deep and come up with a better defense.

Please don’t be in too much of a hurry to respond, we have time 2023 is still a way off. Thank you
