‘When will he end this drama?’ — and other reactions to ‘collapse’ of Melaye

After days of laying siege to the residence of Dino Melaye, senator representing Kogi west, the police finally have him in their custody.

The police had stormed the Abuja residence of the lawmaker on December 28, with the intention of arresting him over alleged culpable homicide.

When he surrendered on Friday, the lawmaker “fainted at his residence and at headquarters of the special anti robbery squad (SARS).

Dino Melaye is a typical example of how the elites believe they are above the law, like its their personal right to be lawless with impunity.

Apart from shooting and wounding a police officer with intent to kill, which is an attempted murder, the police should also charge Melaye with obstruction of justice, damage to govt property ie police vehicle, attempts to kill him self, illegal climbing of tree to evade arrest
