Ruger, the Nigerian singer, has detailed why he left Jonzing World, his former record label, owned by D’Prince.
In January, Ruger announced Blown Boy Entertainment, his record label, to the surprise of many.
The singer also said he had denounced “loyalty to godfathers” — confirming his exit from Jonzing World.
But in a lengthy rant via X on Thursday, the ‘Red Flags’ hitmaker accused his former employer of using his money to fund other “new artistes” and leaving him “in the dark” about it.

The 24-year-old said he was supposed to renew his contract but did not because the label “did not push my brand as much as I wanted”.
He also said he had a lot more to say but he was afraid of being “waylaid and stabbed”.

“As much as I’m very appreciative of the fact that Jonzing world introduced me to the world, I just couldn’t continue with them because they got too comfortable with the money they were making from me and couldn’t push me further as I wanted to be pushed,” he said.
