Bature said members of the campaign council will be inaugurated on September 28, in Abuja.
Last week, the national executive committee (NEC) of the PDP, approved the campaign structure for the party and empowered the NWC to “modify and adjust” the structure “when the need arises”.
The development finally put to rest the speculations about the appointment of members to the campaign council.

It is unclear if Tambuwal who is the chairman of the PDP governors forum has resigned his position to take up the appointment as the DG of the campaign council.
Amid speculation that he had stepped down as chairman, the PDP governors forum denied the rumour, saying Tambuwal has not resigned from his position.
