Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers state, has suspended Kevin Wachukwu, his commissioner for works.
Simeon Nwakaudu, the governor’s special assistant on electronic media, disclosed this in a statement, but did not give any reason for the action.
The statement directed Wike’s special adviser on special projects to take over the responsibility of supervising projects in the ministry, in the meantime.
In February, Wike suspended the commissioner for finance and accountant-general of the state, but pardoned them two days later, saying some stakeholders pleaded on their behalf.
