Wizkid shows off multimillion-dollar US mansion

Ayodeji Balogun, Nigerian singer and songwriter better known as Wizkid, took to his Instagram on Monday to show off his latest acquisition – a mansion in Los Angeles.

The 25-year-old artiste had shared pictures of the mansion on his Snapchat before posting pictures on Instagram.

He uploaded a picture of himself carrying a cigarette with the caption ‘Crib so big I got no neighbors!’

The StarBoy CEO shared various pictures showing different views of the house, which is believed to cost millions of dollars.

Dj Maphorisa, a member of South African music group, Uhuru, also shared pictures of the same residence.

Wizkid, who was named Nigeria’s best dressed pop star by Vogue, an international fashion magazine, has joined the league of artistes who show off acquisitions on social media platforms.

The Pepsi ambassador began his career in 2001 and hit fame when he released his hit single, Holla at Your Boy, with Empire Mates Entertainment, a record label owned by Bankole Wellington, Nigerian artiste popularly known as Banky W.

In 2013, he was ranked fifth by Forbes and Channel O in a list of Top 10 Richest/Bankable African Artistes.

In the entire span of his career, he has been nominated for 64 awards and has won 18 of them.

Los Angeles is known to be the abode of various Hollywood stars and foreign artistes; the late pop star Micheal Jackson also had a mansion in the star-studded area before his death.

  1. Owo t’omode ba ko ni, akara lo nfi je. Good for him but these people don’t seem to remember their country when it involves investing in their own country.
    Just thinking. The economics of it makes no sense. Must cost fortunes to maintain living there or not. Probably bad advisers.

  2. Does he need such a big place. Can he afford the maintenance. Hope it is on lease and not an outright acquisition. Just praying he won’t go bankrupt like 50cent, MCHammer, Mike Tyson etc.
    I love the business sense of DBanj and Tuface. Very smart guys .

    1. Good question. You know, they come here and buy houses without factoring in annual property taxes and other maintenance costs, until the chickens come home to roost then they quickly downsize and put it up for sale/rent.
