Rauf Aregbesola, governor of Osun state, on Friday said he would not be distracted by the negative criticism against his administration.
Aregbesola, who made the remarks at the inauguration of a new private-owned radio station in Osogbo, the state capital, said he would rather forge ahead with the vision of transforming the state to enviable position.
He said his critics would soon appreciate his efforts when all ongoing projects in the state were completed.
“I will not be disturbed by bad comments from some people about my policies because I believe in God who sent me,” he said.

“What we are doing in Osun may not be appreciated now but it will become what people will praise later.”
Aregbesola also said that the state government did not take N800 billion loan, adding that those exaggerating the debt profile of the state were “mischief makers”.
“If we had borrowed N800 billion, like some have said, how could we have paid the interest, how could we have survived?” he asked

“We took loan and that is the only way we could have brought development to the state.”
