I won’t marginalise any part of the country, says Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has promised not to marginalise any part of the country, saying he will do his best to keep Nigeria as one.

He said issues will be considered objectively and no action will be taken against any section of the country on the basis of prejudice.

Buhari said this in his hometown of Daura in Katsina state, when Farouk Farouk, emir of the town, hosted him to a breakfast dinner.

He was accompanied by some governors and top government officials.

  2. Dear Mr President, you must be joking or you don’t intend to be taken seriously. You have already marginalized other parts of the country by practicing the greatest act of nepotism ever to be carried out by any Nigerian President. Your appointments already show that you’re the President of the North, by the North and for the North. You have already recruited mostly Northerners, showing your parochial nature and making a mockery of the Federal Character principle. I am very disappointed to have voted for you thinking you will charge from your past. My greatest joy is the fact that you won’t rule forever.

  3. Buhari came to power with the sole aim of bettering the lives of his kinsmen-hausa/Fulani without considering the likely consequences. This president statement is just a political one. Because his actions and inactions are pointing contrary. He already appointed 95% of his tribe to positions at the expense of others despite the outcry, he never bother. And these his appointees continue to massively recruiting Hausa/Fulani to sensitive job positions – central bank, prisons, inland revenue etc.
