Ned Nwoko, senator representing Delta north, has backed the clamour for a new national minimum wage.
In a message on Wednesday to mark International Workers Day celebration, he described Nigerian workers as “hardworking”.
He said it is important to provide workers with a conducive environment, in order to get the best out of them.
“Their ability to excel is unparalleled, especially when provided with a conducive environment to nurture their efforts and dreams,” Nwoko said.
