Yahaya Bello, governor of Kogi state, has congratulated Bola Tinubu, former governor of Lagos, on his victory at the presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Tinubu, at the conclusion of voting on Wednesday, polled a total of 1,271 votes to secure the presidential ticket of his party.
In a statement on Wednesday, Yemi Kolapo, director of media and publicity,
Yahaya Bello Presidential Campaign Organisation, said Bello has accepted the outcome of the primaries and would give the needed support to ensure the victory of the flag bearer and the ruling party in the 2023 presidential election.
Bello, who was one of the leading aspirants at the presidential primary, described the election as peaceful.

While giving his victory speech at Eagle Square, the venue of the APC primary, Tinubu asked other stakeholders in the party to join hands with him in defeating the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and “beating back our common foes of poverty, terror and violence.”
