Yakubu Ayegbeni, a former Nigerian international, is on trial at English League One side, Coventry City.
Russell Slade, gaffer of Coventry City, has confirmed that Yakubu is now training with the team.
The former English Premier League star, famously called Yak, started training on Monday.
Slade said: “He’s in, he has had his first training day with us this morning. As you know, he’s played in the UK and his scoring records are very good.

“He is 34 now, his last club was in Turkey. He hasn’t played for a while which is the only concern, but great pedigree. Goals wise, it is one in two.
“If that is the sort of thing he can do for us then we’ve got to be interested.”
Slade had revealed last week that a player with a “big reputation” will train with the club.

The Sky Blues have failed to score a single goal in their last four league games, and with new loan recruits Michael Folivi and Charles Vernam injured, Slade is short of attacking options.
It is understood that the 34-year-old former Portsmouth, Middlesbrough, Everton and Blackburn Rovers striker would stay with the Sky Blues for the rest of the season if he can prove his fitness.
Aiyegbeni, should he get signed, could provide the quality and experience Coventry desperately needs.
The Nigerian is considering re-establishing his playing career in the UK after a year at Turkish Super League club Kayserispor.

Aiyegbeni scored 96 goals in the EPL between 2003 and 2012.
