Yaya Toure sends quit notice

Cote d’Ivoire captain, Yaya Toure, is considering hanging his international boot with the Elephants in a “couple of days”.

The Manchester City talismanic player led the team win their second Orange Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea this year.

And the 31-year-old midfielder now looks to follow elder brother Kolo into international retirement.

“I think now my target is done,” Toure told BBC.

“I want to wait a couple of days for what I will decide for my future. The time for the youngsters will come soon and we need to let them go on alone.”

Toure may now want to concentrate on his club career as his current contract with City ends in 2017.
