Yobo predicts big game against the Yankees

Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo, expects nothing but a top-notch performance from the Super Eagles when they face the United States national team at the 67,164 capacity EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Florida, on Saturday.

The African champions have put in underwhelming displays in their last two internationals against Scotland and Greece, both ending in draws and leaving the team in dire need of a morale-boosting win in their final warm-up game before departing for Brazil.

Yobo knows the importance of this match and is keen for a better performance from his teammates against the Team USA.

“I hope we will get our game plan right when we face the United States. We hope to play a great game,” Yobo said.

“Credit to the United States, I know a couple of their players, so it’s going to be a very good test for us as well. It’s going to be an exciting game and hopefully, we are going to raise our game as well. Hopefully, we will produce one of our best performances.”
