Yoruba group to hold seminar on restructuring Nigeria

The Yoruba Leadership and Peace Initiative (TYLPI) is set to hold a seminar on the restructuring of Nigeria.

The seminar, with the theme: ‘Strategies and tactics for the actualisation of a restructured Nigerian federation’, will be held at Segun Aganga Hall, University of Ibadan, International Conference Centre, on September 22.

The seminar will be chaired by Ayo Adebanjo, leader of Afenifere, and live-streamed on the internet and also broadcast via zoom.

According to Tunde Ipinmisho, director of publicity and media affairs of TYLPI, the seminar is meant to shed light on restructuring and enlighten Nigerians on the inevitability of the concept, if Nigeria must attain nationhood goals.

Speakers expected at the event include G.G. Darah, professor of oral literature, folklore and cultural sciences, Delta State University, Abraka; Usman Bugaje, a former member of the house of representatives; Adegbenga Kaka, one-time deputy governor of Ogun state.

Other speakers are Akin Fapohunda, the director of research and strategy, Afenifere; Yemi Adamolekun, the executive director of Enough is Enough (EiE), Alistair Soyode, former chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation (NIDO) Europe.
