Nigerian media and civil society organisations have launched a whistle-blowing platform where people can submit information of interest.
The platform — Leaks.ng — was launched at a stakeholders forum organised by the Premium Times Centre for Investigative Journalism (PTCIJ) in collaboration with the Coalition for Whistleblower Protection and Press Freedom.
The platform creates an avenue for individuals to share vital information with the media partners while also protecting the identity of such persons
Dapo Olorunyomi, publisher of Premium Times, said the platform offers a great opportunity for collaboration among media organisations in the country to work on investigative stories.

“Leaks.ng allows you to share confidential information of public interest with the Nigerian media. The system has been designed to help you share these materials while protecting your identity, making it difficult for you to be identified as the source of the information,” reads a message on the website.
“Leaks.ng is run by a coalition of Nigerian news organisations and civil society organisations that are committed to speaking truth to power.
