Abdulrasheed Bawa, chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), says all staff members of the agency are important to the war against corruption.
Speaking at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja on Monday, Bawa urged EFCC officials to be disciplined and dedicated to their duties.
The chairman, who made his private telephone number available to the staff, asked them to share ideas with him that will enhance the operations of the commission.
“All staff are important in this fight against corruption from the top to the least. So, I invite everyone to bring ideas and best practices that will help to organise and recalibrate the commission in order to make it a better place,” he said.

“I am a part of you and I know the challenges.”
Bawa promised to prioritise the welfare of staff and improve on the operations of the commission through the application of digital technology and intelligence-gathering.
The chairman also explained that he would operate an open-door policy.

He also held similar meetings with officials at the Abuja zonal office and the EFCC academy.
Bawa took over the helm of affairs at the anti-graft agency, after he was confirmed by the senate in February.
