President Bola Tinubu has inaugurated the planning committee for the national youth conference.
Speaking during the inauguration in Abuja on Monday, Tinubu stressed the importance of youth participation as a factor in developing Nigeria’s future.
“Look at me in the face, tell me whatever you think, if it’s wrong and the way it’s done or suggestions, we will try to implement all of it as long as it is for the prosperity of this country,” the president said of recommendations expected from the conference.
Tinubu said his administration is committed to empowering the youth and fostering national development.

“You are the hope of this country; everything ends in your podium. Every decision that I have taken is about you, about tomorrow,” he said.
The president also noted that creating opportunities at home would reduce the trend of migration among young professionals.
“This is your home to develop, build, and be prosperous,” he told his youth audience, adding that “politics is about development and about the future generation”.

Reflecting on economic challenges, Tinubu expressed optimism about progress.
“When we started, it was like drawing water from a dry well. But today, the economy is turning the corner. Prices are falling, confidence in our economy is improving, and investors are looking in,” he said
The president encouraged young Nigerians to seize opportunities presented by advancements in technology and an “improving” economic landscape.
