Yuletide: FRSC deploys 1,225 officers for road safety in Osun

The Osun command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) says it has deployed 1,225 officers to ensure the safety of lives on highways in the state ahead of the Christmas celebrations.

Speaking with journalists on Tuesday, Henry Benamaisia, the sector’s commander, said special marshals and regular officers are among the personnel deployed to the 24 routes identified as accident-prone.

He added that 25 flash points and eight black spots have also been mapped out to ensure thorough safety compliance by motorists to avoid any accidents.

Benamaisia advised road users to cultivate driving techniques that would prevent avoidable accidents, adding that the command would continue to intensify its sensitisation campaign against dangerous driving in the state.
