Yuletide: Otti implores Abia residents to promote love and harmony

Alex Otti, governor of Abia, has implored residents of the state to promote peace and harmony at all times. 

In a Christmas message on Monday, Otti encouraged Abians to reflect on the good things God has done, as there has been remarkable transformation in the state this year.

He also asked them to celebrate responsibly to avoid any form of harm.

“Ụmụ nne m Ndị Abia, Merry Christmas to you all,” Otti said.

“Today, we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, who came to bring us peace, joy, and hope.

“As we rejoice in this season, let us also reflect on the great things God has done for us this year.

“We have witnessed a remarkable transformation in our state, with improved infrastructure, sanitation, and security.

“We are grateful for your support, patience, and feedback, which have helped us to serve you better.

“As we share the blessings of this season with our friends and neighbours, let us also remember the less privileged and the vulnerable in our society.

“Let us show them love and compassion and extend a helping hand to those in need.

“Let us also celebrate responsibly and be disciplined in our conduct, avoiding anything that may harm our health or the well-being of those around us.

“Let us also promote peace and harmony in our communities, resolving any conflicts or disputes that may arise.

“Let us work together to initiate and execute community development projects that will improve the lives and livelihoods of our people.

“Let us also support the efforts of the government to attract more investments and opportunities to our state. Ụmụ nne m Ndị Abia, we have a bright future ahead of us.

“With God on our side, and with your cooperation and collaboration, we shall overcome any challenges and achieve our goals.
