Zazzau emirate prince dies in road accident — 40 days after his mother’s death

Umar Shehu-Idris, a prince of the Zazzau Emirate in Kaduna state, has died in a road accident.

Abdullahi Kwarbai, the spokesman for the emirate, who confirmed the incident, said the accident occurred on the Abuja-Kaduna expressway on Tuesday evening.

The late Shehu-Idris is survived by a wife and two children.

He served as the assistant secretary of the emirate council until his death.

Umar died just 40 days after his mother, Habibah Shehu-Idris, passed away.

The funeral arrangements would be announced by his family.
