Babagana Zulum, governor of Borno, has approved the payment of the N70,000 minimum wage to civil servants in the state.

The governor also approved the payment of N3 billion as death benefits to families of deceased civil servants.

NAN reports that Zulum announced the approval on Thursday during a meeting with the technical committee to implement the national minimum wage in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno.
