‘More sleepless nights for APC’ — Twitter reactions to Obasanjo’s endorsement of Atiku
Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo’s endorsement of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar for the 2019 elections is generating reactions on social media.
As expected, the supporters of the president are against this while those in the camp of Abubakar see it as a major boost.
The arguments are back and forth. Obasanjo was trending on Twitter as of the time this compilation was made.
See some of the reactions below:
Iโm really happy with the direction the 2019 election is going. As a Nigerian youth, my future depends on it. All government be it APC and PDP must be held accountable. PDP will be given another chance, hopefully they donโt squander it just like APC did. #Obasanjo

Whether you like Obasanjo or not, he has been directly responsible for elevating our last 3 Presidents. His power stretches Ogun state and the southwest self. #Atikulated #BuhariSaiByeBye ๐๐

Christian Archbishop Kukah shaking Muslim Sheikh Gumi with HE Obasanjo and Atiku sandwiched between. The era of division is over. The era of unity is here. @atiku will unite all. Christians and Muslims, North and South. No more 97% versus 5%. The era of 100% has begun #RenosDarts pic.twitter.com/H07ilxlOMR

Obasanjo is no longer relevant, he can't win his ward. Yet peeps can't stop talking about him, about who's meeting with him, throwing past videos & quotes at us as if the jabs are one sided.
I'm repeating it again, ignore Obasanjo at your own risk.— The Oracle (@Clemsakin71) October 11, 2018
Whenever obasanjo is trending, it makes me feel uncomfortable ๐ฆ๐ง

When the arrangement is tight, even Devil and God can sit peaceably in the same council. It depends on what's at stake.
This Obasanjo/Atiku alliance in Abeokuta is just necessary. Buhari is now like a fire consuming the nation; it doesn't matter the quality of the extinguisher. pic.twitter.com/rOYGhfmSW7

Those saying Obasanjo is irrelevant and inconsequential to Nigeria politics are now 'shitting' in their underpants. Ordinary photo ops from Abeokuta they are having fecal and urinary incontinence, fever, palpitations, hyperhidrosis, tremors, migraine… LOL

Atiku wants the Presidency badly … so much that he sought forgiveness from President Obasanjo!
It took a Presidential Ticket running against President @MBuhari for this to happen!
President @MBuhari Presidency is a force for good โฆ however you slice it.#WeAreHereForNigeria

In this life, find a way to force your enemies into a compromise. I predicted that Obasanjo would later support our ATIKU. It just came to fruition. Now, we are ready to sweep the polls and bring back prosperity to the good people of Nigeria. My name is Dinma And I am ATIKUlated.

When I made up my mind to support PMB when he joined politics, I did not seek the opinion of Obasanjo, Fr kukah, pastor Oyedepo or Gummi as such their endorsement of Atiku is meaningless to me.
My eyes are focused on PMB. We will win in 2019 Again..

Obasanjo endorsed Buhari in 2014 and he was praised to high heavens. Today, some are trying very hard to rubbish Obasanjo’s endorsement of Atiku with “he does not have any political clout.” When fire burns the Devil, he speaks in many languages.

#Atiku2019: Finally, the house is one and working together ahead of 2019. Former President Obasanjo and the @OfficialPDPNig Presidential Candidate, @atiku are one and working together. More sleepless nights for @OfficialAPCNg supporters and their failed Candidate, @MBuhari pic.twitter.com/9SQe0Tin0C
