Super Falcons forward, Asisat Oshoala, has told Nigerians to erase any thought of a disappointing outing from the team at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.
Nigeria has been drawn into the ‘Group of Death’ comprising the world No. 1 ranked USA, No. 5 placed Sweden as well as No. 10 Australia.
But the MVP at the last Africa Women Championship is unperturbed about being in the toughest group of the competition taking place from June 6-July 5 in Canada.
“We can’t go to the World Cup to merely add to the numbers, but we’re going there to participate and to prove a point,” Oshoala said during COPA Lagos Beach Soccer tournament.

“I can’t say right away how far we’ll go at the World Cup, but I’m positive we won’t disappoint Nigerians when the hostilities start in Canada.
“We have quality and experienced players who can turn things around.”
Nigeria, like USA and Sweden has competed in every edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
